Love this theme, however when activated (recommended plugins included), navigation through the dashboard is a slow loading time nightmare. 15-20 seconds on some pages.
I have been dealing with this issue for some time now and after all the testing, I have firmly concluded, that Contact Form 7 is the culprit behind these slow load times. My internet connection and hosting are fine, trust.
When Contact Form 7 is activated and I'm using a repository theme, everything is fine. When Contact Form 7 is active (no other plugins activated) and I'm using TheFox theme, the slow load times are crazy noticeable.
Has anyone else reported anything like this? The Contact Form 7 module settings give me trouble as well. In the module I'll set a setting, click save changes, but the changes don't save (especially the "field background color", it never saves).
Disregard my previous message about Contact Form 7. I think it's Visual Composer related.
Has anyone else reported terribly slow load times while using TheFox? There's a pattern I'm seeing from the sites I've purchased TheFox licenses for and it's very consistent. It sucks :(
Note: I use GoDaddy Managed WP Hosting (upgraded to the max)
We know some people having problem with GoDaddy but if you are using their upgraded version I think their server should be able to run the theme without having problem ( depend on their server ram and cpu )
But it may be related to your browser, if you are using chrome, are you using any add ons?
Could you try to edit the site using Firefox or IE and see if you have a better response.
I just got off the phone with a GoDaddy rep and they very thoroughly browsed through the dashboards of a few of my sites that use TheFox theme. Everything ran smooth for that rep, which is great news!
It has to be my connection, right? And if so, my bad for the this ticket.
If you are the only one having the "slow" problem it's maybe because of your connection or because your PC has low spec.
I am just worried about GoDaddy because we had a lot of problem with their support team, lying to customers etc.
We will ask our dev team if they can create a test site and give you access to it, if you also have slow experience on our test site dashboard then it's a problem coming from your connection or PC, if our test site dashboard runs fine then it's probably a problem with the GoDaddy server.
I know it's an odd case and they often end up as wild goose chases, but I believe I may have some valuable input once I find a resolution. GoDaddy's Managed WP accounts initially install WP with additional files for the "flush cache" feature they include, and after weeks of slow testing, I believe this feature is colliding with TheFox theme or one of the bundled plugins in some way.
Thanks for taking time for me on this. It's been absolutely exhausting battling all of the variables. Makes it difficult to run a business.
