If the envato market plugin doesn't let you update the theme what you can do is switch to an other theme, delete Cesis and re-install using the latest version you can download from themeforest.
Regarding the slow performance, where are you hosted?
If you can first update the theme it should improve the performance.
Hi there, I'm having some latency problems with my site and support mentioned there Ajax with the CSS is making it slow (a lot of calls?).
I have had issues upgrading in the past and no one has been able to provide a simple way to fix this. I'm not sure if the two are related?
Please advise.

We see that you are using a really old version of the theme.
First what you should do is take a backup and update the theme :
