We have created an empty page called "Impact" and have set it up as the blog page, unfortunately any Cesis modification we do does not affect that page at all, for example the sidebar does doesn't go away no matter what. any idea on how to edit on that page? for example how to remove the sidebar or how to setup how to arrange the posts within that page, maybe adding a banner?

If you want to make a blog page, use the blog post module in a regular page, don't use the "Posts page" settings.
