Am I missing something in the theme, but I can't globally change the settings for how posts are displayed.
e.g. for each post you can individually set various options in the Post Options panel to turn things on/off like Header Top Bar, Show Title, share buttons etc... Which is great, but at the moment I have to set these for each and every new post.
Is there a way to globally set these options for all posts in just one place? and override those options if required through the individual post options?
I'm trying to hold off resorting to creating a customised child theme and editing the template files to lock down the layout.

If you want to do this you will need to modify the single-default.php file and change the php value directly.
If you are using our latest child theme, then you can make the modifications directly to the single-default.php file of the child theme.
