I recently had a website crash due to a theme-plugin compatibility issue (it wasn't with TheFox theme). The theme had been removed from Themeforest, so I couldn't update the theme files and the plugin (Visual Composer) had updated to a version that the theme was incompatible with. I use TheFox themes for many projects so this has me worried. Two questions below.
1. Will TheFox theme ever be removed from Themeforest?
2. If it is pulled, what are your recommendations for me for keeping the theme files up to date to maintain compatibility with the Visual Composer?
If you are using a theme with a lot of project and so bought a lot of license of our theme I can understand you can be worried about it being removed or not supported anymore.
1. We hope that no, we are keeping the theme updated for the newest wordpress version and visual composer version.
Currently we are working on the wordpress 4.4 and visual composer 4.9 update ( this should be ready by the end of the week )
2. If the theme is pulled, you should stop to update the plugins or wordpress so you will be able to still use the theme without any problem. Updating is really something not needed if everything is working fine, the only good reason to update is :
- Having new feature that you want to use
- Security problems
- Major performance enhancement
Don\'t need to fix something that is working.
