I'm having a lot of difficulty with my responsive design. The backgrounds aren't spanning the width of the screen, icons aren't showing up, and for some reason the logo I uploaded is being doubled. Only one logo has been uploaded.
I managed to get it working for about 30 minutes last night, but I have no idea how I got it working or why it isn't anymore. I'm checking on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox, and they all look the same.
I've tried setting it up so that the columns are duplicated and the wide layout is hidden from smaller devices, but it just doesn't seem to work.
No custom plug-ins. I've installed just The Fox theme and plug-ins provided. I should be completely up to date on the theme, as well.
As far as I know the server hasn't gone down, but I'm not 100% certain.
I see when I resize my browser everything looks completely normal. The responsive design kicks in and it looks great! However, it still looks like the screenshots provided when I'm viewing my page on my phone or tablet. Is there a special setting to allow the responsive to work on mobile?
I have tried Chrome, Firefox, and Safari Mobile Browsers. I've tried on an iPhone 6s and on a Nexus 7 tablet. I have cleared caches for all browsers when trying again.
Update: I finally got this working (see new screenshot), but I had to do this by going into Safari share options and requesting the Desktop Site. Is there anyway to force this for all mobile devices?
I haven't actually fixed the problem though. I got it working through asking for the desktop site. This doesn't always work, and each time I flush my cache, or use a different device, the same problem comes up. I even just tried it on a Windows Phone and had the same issue.
Is there any way to force the desktop version for all mobile devices? This is ridiculous.
I think the problem is your server speed, the page just doesn't load the css and js file correctly that why your site looks bad.
Even when I check on my PC sometimes it doesn't load correctly.
Also you have a problem with the icons font, please try to add this
Please take a backup of the htaccess file and put this in the htaccess file :
<FilesMatch "\.(ttf|otf|eot|woff)$">
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"
</IfModule>
</FilesMatch>
If your server enable the htaccess modifications that should fix the problem for the icons.
For the js and css problem the problem is from your server performance, so it's hard to tell what you could do to fix it, are you using any custom plugins?

What am I missing?

Hello Britta,
Are you using any custom plugins?
What is the theme version or are you using a child theme?
Also currently we can't join your website, is the server down?

Hello Britta,
I see, can you tell us the mobile browser and phone you are using?
Also can you clear the cache of your phone or try in other application like chrome on your phone and tell us if it works correctly.

Hello Britta,
Glad to hear you have fix the problems.
Could you please check thefoxbusiness.wpengine.com and see if you have the same problem?
The responsive option should be activated by default and not switch to other mode.
