Hello ! I feel like such a tech amateur - I have bought The Fox Theme and now I feel rather intimidated by the levels of customisation required. How do I easily get my site to look like the demo site ?? Is there a step-by-step video tutorial ? I have already got a bit lost with the various options for a slider (I want a nice looking full page slider like the demo and can't make it happen.) Do I really have to buy the Revolution Slider to get access to any templates?? Sorry for the lame post but I thought I was ok on Wordpress and now realise I know nothing! Any help appreciated!
For the revolution slider and other plugins you don't need the license ( check those articles for more information : Plugins Licenses, Plugins Update. )
If you want to import one of our slider you can find all the zip file need in thefox_full_package/slider folder.
Then go to Revolution slider and click import slider, and then import the zip file of the slider you want to use.
I have installed the demo content, but it still looks very basic - just a few blog posts of different types of content. I was hoping for a demo of a home page that I can then tweak with my own images and words... Any ideas?

I am trying to use some of the FOX fonts to make it look the same as the demo (as the text content in the demo is actually images, not text) - but the FOX fonts don't work - I select them within Revolution Slider and nothing changes. (Whereas the other fonts do make the text change)
Thank you. PLease could you also tell me what font is used for the Massive Text on the home page (TheFox and Aweome Features text). I can see they are made up from Images but I was wondering if the font is available within the theme. Hope that makes sense

You can import our demo pages from Thefox > Demo importer, if you want the demo you can see at thefoxwp.com import the classic demo.
The trending is for http://thefoxtrending.wpengine.com/
The business is for http://thefoxbusiness.wpengine.com/

Yes, it is possible to install the theme on a test site, if your other site go live you will need to delete it, or buy an other license.

After imported the demo you can find all the demo pages under "Pages"
You need to set one of the page as your homepage : http://thefoxwp.com/wp-content/themes/TheFox/includes/documentation/thefox_documentation.html#homepage
Please go edit the page you want to use and change text or image, then update the page.
When you have set all the pages you want to use create a menu : http://thefoxwp.com/wp-content/themes/TheFox/includes/documentation/thefox_documentation.html#menus
