I want to push utm tracking from Google tracking links into my CRM.
I'm not having much success with the javascript needed to do this and think I'm probably putting into the wrong file. Do you know where the best place for this would be? Is jquery installed in theme or do I need to link off site?

I think you should be able to install a plugins that let you put this code from the dashboard and you won't be able to modify the php files.

I really don't want to add more plugins than I need to - keep page load speed down.

I think a plugin for the analytics won't be the one that will really slow your website.
If you want to put your code directly in the file then you would need to modify the header.php
