I've built a website using your theme The Fox (which is pretty cool) but I'm experiencing what looks like a compatibility issue. I've created a simple contact form using Contact Form 7 (latest
version) and used radio buttons for a YES/NO type of choice. The form is
working as expected (i.e. the message is sent) but the radio buttons
are not working (i.e. you cannot select them, see: http://fluidads.com/contact/)
The same happens if I don't specify a default "Checked" option, as well as if I use check boxes instead of radio buttons. The site is running the latest WP version and the issue happens across all browsers.
The same form works perfectly on another WP website with a different theme, hence my idea of a conflict with your theme.
Do you know anything about this issue between your theme and contact form 7? Any idea how I could fix this?
thank you for your reply. I've updated the theme as you suggested, on both my local version (MAMP) as well as on the live website. The update seems to have fixed the issue with the contact form 7 radio buttons, which are now selectable (yay!).
The only strange thing is that when I tested the form after the update, the form is working correctly on the live site (which is running contact form 7 v. 4.4.1), while the form stopped working on my local version (which is running contact form 7 v. 4.4.2). Basically on the local version of the site, now the radio buttons are selectable but I never receive the email with the message (although the form says that the message was successfully sent).
The only difference I can see between the 2 sites is the version of the Contact Form 7 plugin, so I thought I'd let you know as this might affect all websites that update CF7 to version 4.4.2.
Usually if you have the message ( message was successfully sent ) but do not receive the message then it's something from the server configuration, mail address not set correctly, or blocking the action after the form has been sent.
I don't think it's a server configuration issue, as the form on my local site (with either CF7 4.4.1 or 4.4.2.) was working fine (i.e. sending the email) before updating the theme, and I haven't changed any of the form's settings.
It's not a major issue since it's only happening on my local site (I won't update to CF7 4.4.2. on the live one just yet), but it would be good if you could double check the theme's compatibility with CF7 v. 4.4.2.
We made some test after you told us about your problem and the latest version of the theme 1.594 and 1.595 are working fine with the version 4.4.2 of CF7.
So that's strange that your local site doesn't work.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have more questions.
thank you for looking into it. I can confirm the CF7 v. 4.4.2 works fine with the latest version of the theme as my client has updated the plugin on the live site to 4.4.2 and the contact form still works.
As for my local site it is strange... it may be related to the "From" field (being on local I cannot use an email address that belongs to the same domain as the site)... or not, who knows! Anyhow it's not a major issue... as far as I'm concerned you can close this ticket.
Thank you again for your support (and for a great theme).
Glad to hear that you don't have any problem on your live site.
Thanks for using our theme! Also Oriana, I don't know if you have done it yet but if you could rate our theme 5 stars on theme forest,it would really boost our team motivation!
You can do it from this page : http://themeforest.net/downloads and click the stars under the download button of our theme. Thanks in advance! Do not hesitate to contact us if you have other questions :)

Hello Oriana, thanks for purchasing Thefox!
I think our team fixed this problem in our latest update can you please try to :
- Go to plugins and deactivate and delete the visual composer.
- Update the theme to the latest version : Theme update
- Then go to Appearance > Install plugins to install the plugin new version.
This should fix the problem.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have more questions.
Regards.

Hello Oriana,
Glad to hear that fixed the problem,
Usually if you have the message ( message was successfully sent ) but do not receive the message then it's something from the server configuration, mail address not set correctly, or blocking the action after the form has been sent.

Thanks,
