I've added a staff member shortcode to a page, it's broken some off the CSS I think. My sidebar and objects below it on the page aren't being styled. Looks as though it might be only backgrounds that aren't working.
Is this a known issue?/Something you can solve off the top of your head, or do you need more information?
Current shortcode is below but I did try a variety of styles [staff_post_sc posts_per_page="4" group="Executive Team" type="type03" column="blog_4_col" l_target="_self"]
I removed the theme and visual composer. I downloaded updated versions of each and installed but still had an issue. I deactivated everything but the VC plugin and the backgrounds were fixed.
But I had no "staff" members in the staff row.
I reactivated "TheFox Custom Post" plugin and it broke the backgrounds again. Seems to have something to do with that part of The Fox
Could you please go to the page that has problem, click on "Classic Editor" button, then choose the "text" mode of wordpress editor and copy all the content of your page ( ctrl + a then ctrl + c ) and copy it in a txt file and send it to us so we can check and try to see what is wrong.
Your problem is maybe the name of the "Group" you are using to sort your team, you should use simple name since only log user can see the group name in the backend.
Please go to Staff Member > Groups
change the group name from
Executive Team
to
executive_team
and also change the slug to
executive_team
then go to Settings > Permalinks and click saves changes.
Then go edit the page and edit the staff module ( change the group option ) and update the page.
It should fix the problem.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have more questions.
If I turn off the plugin "The Fox Custom Post," my backgrounds (as indicated in the screencapture "backgrounds.jpg") show. But obviously, then the staff posts do not.
If i turn on the plugin "The Fox Custom Post," my backgrounds disappear (see screencapture)
I see that there is a javascript error with the bootstrap.min.js on your page, maybe this is the source of the problem, maybe it's in conflict with the isotope script we use in the page.
Deactivating all plugins fixed the issue. I reactivated one-by-one to discover a conflict with the Yoast SEO plugin, a very very popular SEO plugin used on many sites.
Are you aware of any specific conflict with this plugin and the Fox theme? Do you recommend another SEO plugin?
I saw on one of your reviews someone made reference to the fact that the theme is buggy with SEO Yoast and you said even if support has expired to get in touch, so I'm tagging onto the end of this post. I was using Yoast very successfully for the first six months of your theme. Since updating at the start of July all the Yoast pages I've made amends to have broken. I did ask about this but you said to change the Snippet, and I've seen you've said the same below. However the only pages that have broken are the ones where I have edited the Snippet since the last update. All my pages had edited Meta Titles and Descriptions, I was going through doing an SEO update by amending some of those titles and descriptions and now these pages don't work. I get a server error at worst, so just a grey screen saying cannot connect or it displays nothing below the Menu bar. I'm using the latest of everything - Yoast, Rev Slider, Theme update from today. I went through the process of disabling and enabling plugins as did the user below, but Yoast was the only culprit. The theme is now totally ruined for me if I can't use Yoast. Any suggestions welcome.
Just to add to this, my site is currently running on a Windows server, I'm getting it moved to Linux asap but might this be adding to the problems?
I've actually just deactivated every single unused plugin and updated to the latest Fox release from yesterday and miraculously it's working again... I'd been struggling with this for a week now!
I'm using a few standard plugins such as Revolution Slider, Google Analytics for WP, WP Fastest Cache, Visual Composer, Simple Lightbox, Contact Form 7, Flamingo, Mailchimp.
Hopefully next update it won't happen again. Thanks for the response anyway.

Hello Janna,
The only problem we aware off is that if you don't change your page / post description the page won't load correctly.
If you have the meta of your page set by default YOAST will use the vc shortcode as meta description, this is will make the page bug.
Can you please check if this is the source of the problem?
Regards
EDIT : We are currently using the Yoast SEO version 3.3.4 and are not able to reproduce the problem, any additional information would be helpful

Hello Tamar,
This is really strange, are you using other additional plugins?
Do you have a link to your site?
Or any error you can see from the console or error log?
