The plugin Visual Composer is not working with the Fox theme on our site. We had field a support ticket with WP Bakery to see if they could help with the problem but they say the theme is the issue. We also tried switching off the plugins to see if there was a conflict but to no avail. I have the latest versions of the theme and the plugin installed.
Hello TheFox, I have been in touch with you before regards Visual Composer not working anymore. Then I was advised to use the forum to continue the problemsolving. Just so you know, I am a PR/Marketing advisor, photographer and graphical designer more than an IT web tech.
I use a multisite when I draft a website for my own family businesses, and then it is to be transferred to its own domain (often because it is to replace an exsisting one). Previously I have used other themes but got fond of TheFox. I have bought two TheFox licenses to be used on two different sites, and this might be the problem when drafting it up on a multisite. Is there a way around to make it work again?
If I move one of the sites to its new domain, will both work then (by somehow register TheFox license somewhere on both sites)?
I was very happy with the Visual Composer when it was working well. It is really annoying to be now develop the two sites using the Backend editor.
If you have bought 2 license of thefox then you are able to use it for 2 site, if you need to use it for more site you would need to buy more license ( 1 license per domain / site ).
For the visual composer do you want to enable the frontend editor?
We disabled it by default because some of our module doesn't load ( the one using ajax, blog , portfolio ) correctly when using the front end.
I use 1 license per 1 site, however I have a multisite where I use other themes on the other sites. The problem is that TheFox/Visual Composer overrides the two other sites with other themes. Meaning, I have for several months had to postpone updates, or do the easy ones such as updating text and links found in the code. So, from heaven to hell when it comes to do anything on any of the sites within my multisite. Which is dissapointing when thinking of how well it worked before I bought the second license.
So Yes, I would appreciate the frontend editor to be available as well as the Visual Composer for the site with license.

Hello Perry,
We are using the latest version of our theme and visual composer and everything is working fine.
Also what do you mean by not working?
No appearing on the page, backend or frontend problem?
Can you please detail a little more, also if you could deactivate all the plugins and try to clear the cache and see if that doesn't fix the problem.
Regards

Hello Jannikke,
I see, to activate the front end editor you need to go edit the theme file vc-functions.php ( thefox/functions folder ) and remove this line :
vc_disable_frontend(); // this will disable frontend editor
This will enable the frontend.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have more questions.
Regards.
