On v1.6 of the theme, selecting an icon to be displayed at the top of a section worked fine, today I have just updated to v1.6.2 and now this is broken, doesn't matter which icon set you use either:
For the row icon, we double check but it seems to be working, using font awesome or any other icons, do you have any other plugins that is including the fontawesome font?
Yes, even after disabling plugins it still happens. Like I said, it worked prior to updating to 1.63. I am going to update to 1.631 and see if the issue still exists.
I had updated to 1.631 last night and the problem still exists, I have not gotten a notification about 1.632 yet from Envato. Also, since the fonts are located on the same server, there is no cross-domain policy issues so the addition to the .htaccess file is unnecessary really and is not the cause of the issue. As I said, the CSS that is being dynamically generated for both the Section/Row + Icon and the 4K icons is overwriting the "font-family" with the wrong name.
Here is the same issue with placing a 4K icon on the page:
I am sorry but I really can't tell why this is happening, we tried to reinstall the theme on local and on a clean wordpress installation but we can't reproduce the problem.
Are the font css files from the 4k icons loaded correctly?
The font family name and font code are taken from this file.
No, the 4K Icons are not loading either and are having the same issue on my brand new install.
EDIT- I take that back, everything is loading fine with no errors in console, it something in the conversion of changing font-family from "fontawesome" to just "fa".
I primarily use Firefox, but I had just updated to v1.633 and the problem is now resolved. Am curious as to what the cause of the problem was just for my own knowledge.
The problem is that the scoped="scoped" we added to the style block didn't work for the font with firefox, which is strange since even IE was able to handle this.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have more questions.

How to Update your Theme
Ok, so I do have v1.63, not v1.6.2. I guess you guys didn't update the changelog on Envato at the time I last downloaded the theme.

So upon further research into this, the "row" css is overriding 'font-family' for the actual icon when this option is selected:

Maybe try clearing your cache ;)
Hello again,
For the row icon, we double check but it seems to be working, using font awesome or any other icons, do you have any other plugins that is including the fontawesome font?
They may be changing the font name.

Hello -
It is being overwritten by the theme (4K icons)

Even in the VC interface, the icon for the element is not showing up either:

Hello Jason,
This is really strange, this is still happening if you are disabling all the plugins?

Here is the same issue with placing a 4K icon on the page:

Meanwhile, on the same page the social icons in the top header bar work fine, as well as the "Social Icons" VC Element placed on the same page.
